Josh Elliott shares a daughter with his first wife, Priya Narang, and later built a blended family with his second wife, Liz Cho.
Elliott’s career in American television journalism has been a noteworthy one, spanning twenty years.
He got his start in broadcasting at ESPN back in 2004. Initially, he was a panelist on “Around the Horn” and “Jim Rome Is Burning.”
Then, beginning in 2008, he co-anchored the live morning edition of “SportsCenter,” working alongside Hannah Storm.
In May 2011, Elliott made a high-profile move to ABC’s Good Morning America, where he quickly became a familiar face for millions of morning viewers.
His tenure there lasted until 2014, when he signed a lucrative $4 million-per-year contract with NBC Sports, contributing to programs including the Today show as a sports correspondent.

After departing NBC in December 2015, Elliott joined CBS News in March 2016 as the lead anchor for its digital news service, CBSN.
However, his time at CBS ended abruptly in February 2017 following an on-air announcement that caught network executives off guard, resulting in his dismissal.
Beyond his network roles, Elliott earned a local Emmy Award in New York City in 2005 and co-hosted Yellowstone Live on National Geographic Channel in 2018.
Reports indicate he is currently eyeing a return to television.
Josh Elliott Married Priya Narang First and Later Wed Liz Cho in 2015
Before becoming a household name on morning television, Josh Elliott was married to Priya Narang.
The couple divorced around 2010, and together they share one daughter, Sarina Elliott, born circa 2009.
Priya has maintained an entirely private life since the marriage ended, and no reliable public sources detail her career or personal life following the divorce.
Sarina, too, has largely stayed out of the spotlight, though she appears in wedding coverage from 2015 and is referenced in recent divorce filings as Elliott’s “minor child.”
Elliott has spoken warmly about his role as her father, stating that Sarina remains his top priority today.

Josh Elliott met his second wife, Liz Cho, while both worked at ABC News.
Liz is a well-established broadcast journalist who has anchored at WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News in New York since 2003.
After dating for two years, the couple got engaged in August 2014 and married on July 11, 2015, at Villa Sevillano in Montecito, California, in an intimate outdoor ceremony attended by approximately 70 guests.
Their colleague and meteorologist, Sam Champion, officiated the wedding.
The ceremony carried deep emotional significance. Elliott’s mother had passed away just three weeks before the wedding, and the couple honored her memory by leaving an empty chair, where both daughters placed flowers during the ceremony.
Sarina and Liz’s daughter from her previous marriage, Louisa Simone Gottlieb (born May 17, 2007), both served as maids of honor.
Elliott and Cho embraced their blended family wholeheartedly. “We’re believers in the modern family,” Elliott said at the time, adding that both daughters’ other parents played an important role in their lives.
He described a touching moment during the ceremony when he looked over at the two girls smiling and felt as though it was their day.
Cho recalled the heartwarming moment when she overheard Sarina refer to her as “stepmom” for the first time after the wedding.
Liz Cho had previously been married to Evan Gottlieb from 2008 to 2012.
She and Elliott have no biological children together, though they raised their daughters as a blended family throughout their marriage.
Josh Elliott and Liz Cho Dispute Finances and Property Amid Their Divorce
After nearly a decade of marriage, Josh Elliott filed for divorce from Liz Cho on June 20, 2025, in Connecticut court.
The court documents cited a marriage that was “irretrievably broken,” seeking a fair division of all assets. In November 2025, Cho filed a cross-complaint, acknowledging the marriage’s irretrievable breakdown.
What began as a legal separation quickly escalated into a contentious court battle.
Cho submitted extensive discovery requests, asking for communications between Elliott and anyone with whom he had or has had a romantic or sexual relationship since their wedding in 2015.
She also demanded financial records, travel documents, and records of any employment-related communications.
Elliott objected to these requests, calling the timeframe “unreasonable” and “harassing.”
A source close to the couple maintained that the requests were standard legal procedure and that no evidence existed of Elliott having had an outside relationship during the marriage.
The dispute grew sharper in January 2026. Cho filed a motion for contempt, alleging that while she was vacationing with her daughter, Louisa, on January 19, Elliott arranged for a moving truck to remove significant furniture, furnishings, and the couple’s two Portuguese water dogs from their jointly owned Connecticut marital residence.
She further claimed that a valuable watch and earrings went missing from her jewelry bag, and she believed Elliott had taken them.

Elliott fired back, calling Cho’s allegations “false and inflammatory.”
He denied ransacking the home, stating that he removed only limited items from the basement to furnish a new residence after leaving what he described as a hostile environment created by Cho’s “escalating and erratic behavior” directed at both him and his daughter Sarina.
He flatly denied the jewelry allegations, calling them baseless and made without evidence. He also accused Cho of monitoring his private phone calls and going through his personal belongings.
As of now, Liz Cho continues anchoring at WABC-TV, while Elliott, 54, has been reported as focused on his daughter and a potential return to television. A court hearing in the ongoing case is scheduled for March 20, 2026.
