From Tulsa roots to family legacy, Kevin Harlan’s wife Ann Harlan has played a quiet but lasting role in his life.

Kevin Robert Harlan has had one of the most successful careers in American sports broadcasting. Harlan was born on June 21, 1960, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

His father, Bob Harlan, was the President and CEO of the Green Bay Packers, so Harlan was surrounded by professional football as a child.

That childhood set the stage for a love of broadcasting that would lead to a legendary career.

Harlan graduated from the University of Kansas in 1982 with a degree in broadcast journalism.

He quickly made a name for himself. He became the voice of the NBA’s Kansas City Kings on TV and radio when he was only 22.

He then called games for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and finally got jobs on national networks like NBC, Fox, CBS, and Turner Sports.

He now shows NFL and college basketball games on CBS and NBA games on Prime Video.

Three times—2017, 2019, and 2023—his peers have named him National Sportscaster of the Year.

He has also called a record-breaking 15 Super Bowls in a row on Westwood One radio.

Harlan is in the same league as legends like Al Michaels and Marv Albert. He has called more than 500 NFL games and 3,000 national TV network broadcasts of major professional sports.

Ann Harlan, the Wife of Kevin Harlan, Prefers a Life Away From the Spotlight

Ann Harlan — born Ann Marie Latimer in April 1964 — is the wife of sports broadcasting legend Kevin Harlan.

Raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma as the only daughter of Venton Wayne Latimer and Mary Cobb Latimer, Ann grew up in a close-knit family with deep roots in Texas and Oklahoma.

Her mother, Mary, was a remarkable woman in her own right — a civic leader who served as the first female Tulsa County Chairperson for the 1970 national census and oversaw President Richard Nixon’s visit to Tulsa for a major federal project.

Ann and Kevin married on December 26, 1987, and have now shared nearly four decades of life together.

The couple resides in Mission Hills, Kansas, and Fish Creek, Wisconsin.

From the earliest years of Kevin’s career through his rise to the top of sports broadcasting, Ann has stood as his constant anchor.

She keeps a deliberately low public profile. No media appearances, no industry events, no viral moments to her name.

Instead, Ann channels her energy into family life — and the occasional Instagram post on her account (@annlharlan), where she celebrates her husband’s achievements and shares family milestones with warmth and quiet pride.

Those who know her describe her as a steadfast supporter and, by at least one account, someone who gives back to her community without seeking recognition, reportedly organizing a charity drive for inner-city youth without ever looking for a headline.

Kevin and Ann raised four children together: Abigail, Haley, Rob, and Olivia.

Their daughter, Olivia Harlan Dekker, born April 8, 1993, has carved out her own remarkable career in sports media.

She works as a sportscaster for ESPN College Football, the NFL on Westwood One, and Big Ten Network basketball.

Olivia is married to former NBA player Sam Dekker, and together they have a son named Harlan Wolf Dekker.

Olivia and Kevin are the first family to work together as broadcasters.

They were the first father-daughter pair to call and cover an NFL game together in 2018, and in 2024, they were the first father-daughter team to do both at the same time—Kevin on the radio and Olivia on the sidelines.

This is a big deal for Kevin and Ann because it shows how far they’ve come in their careers and how they’ve built a family culture over the years.

Kevin and Ann are proud grandparents of seven grandchildren as of 2026.

Kevin has talked openly about how important family is to him, saying that being a grandparent is one of the best things that has ever happened to him.
